So, what is the closest airport to Naples, FL, and how can you easily make the trip to your rental? We’re here to tell you about the three most convenient airport options.

Southwest Florida International Airport

Southwest Florida International Airport, abbreviated as RSW, is easily the most convenient of all the airports near Naples, FL. This airport is located near Fort Myers, which is about 40 minutes away. You can reach this airport using nonstop flights from tons of major US cities, including Los Angeles, Austin, Nashville, Denver, Seattle, St. Louis, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee, to name a few. 

To reach Naples from Southwest Florida International Airport, leave the airport and follow the signs to get on I-75 S. Take Exit 105, then turn right onto County Rd 886/Golden Gate Pkwy. After 3.5 miles, turn left onto Goodlette Rd S/Goodlette-Frank Rd. After two more miles, make a right onto 5th Avenue S, then turn one more right onto 9th Street S.

Punta Gorda Airport

You also have the option to fly into Punta Gorda Airport, which is abbreviated as PGD. Situated between Sarasota and Fort Myers, this airport sits about an hour away from Naples. Punta Gorda Airport offers nonstop service to more than 50 cities in the Eastern US, including destinations like Nashville, Richmond, Harrisburg, Columbus, Providence, and more.

To get to Naples, leave Punta Gorda Airport and get on I-75 S. You’ll stay on this road for about 55 miles before getting off on Exit 105. From there, follow the directions that we outlined in the previous section. 

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Finally, you have the option to fly into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which is located about 1.5 hours away from Naples. This airport, abbreviated as FLL, offers nonstop flights to and from dozens of destinations across the country, such as Asheville, Concord, Denver, Portland, Salt Lake City, and others. 

To reach Naples, leave the airport and get on I-95 N. After 11 miles, use Exit 24 to merge onto I-595 W. After almost a mile, you’ll use the second-from-the-left land to take the exit toward Naples. Pay the toll to merge onto I-75 N. After about 87 miles, you’ll take Exit 105 and follow the directions outlined above.
