SAFETY MEASURES AND BEST PRACTICES

FOR VACATION RENTALS.

On May 27, 2020, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) approved Collier County’s Updated Vacation Rental Safety Plan, which will apply in the City of Naples. The new Vacation Rental Plan allows for vacation rental reservations except from international travelers. Additionally, any guests from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Louisiana must make reservations for periods longer than the required 14-day quarantine established by the Governor’s Executive Orders 20-82 and 20-86. The City of Naples ordinance on short-term rentals still applies within these restrictions (Sec. 44-8and Sec. 58-3). The complete Collier County Vacation Rental Safety Plan can be found here. Violations of this plan will be reported to DBPR. Questions or concerns regarding vacation rentals can be directed to DBPR at 866-532-1440 or www.myfloridalicense.com/emergency. For information and guidance for vacation rentals pursuant to Executive Order 20-123, please review the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DPBR) Recommended Safety Measures and Best Practices for Vacation Rentals.
